5 Key Reasons Why Your Child’s Maths Tuition Centre Is NOT effective in helping your child develop problem-solving skill to tackle challenging unfamiliar problems.

Has Your Child Been Attending Maths Tuition Classes For At Least A Few Months…But With Little To No Change In Results?

Discover 5 Key Reasons Why Your Child’s Maths Tuition Centre Is effective in helping your child develop problem-solving skill to tackle challenging unfamiliar problems….. And What You Can Do Right Now To Stop Wasting Time and Money!

#1     Your child has access to his or her tuition teacher only once a week!

Almost all tuition centres conduct classes only once a week.

This means that apart from the allotted class time (usually just 1.5 to 2 hours per week), your child will have to wait until the next lesson to clarify ALL the doubts he or she would have accumulated throughout the entire week!

And even if your child is able to contact the tuition teacher via phone call or WhatsApp, it’s still not an ideal platform for your child to get important questions answered in a clear and systematic manner.

In other words, your child needs more one-to-one time with the tuition teacher.

#2     Your child is not trained to apply the same concept or thinking process to solve different question types!

Most tuition centres will teach your child how to use a concept or thinking process to solve a question in its particular context.

Hence, while your child would master how to answer a question in that scenario, he or she wouldn’t be able to answer another question presented in a different scenario, even if both questions involve the same concept or thinking process!

As such, your child will most likely be clueless when tackling unfamiliar questions in the Maths exam (which is very common nowadays), causing nearly all efforts to go to waste!

#3     Your child is most likely learning Maths on a topical basis, instead of mastering critical heuristics tools that can be applied across ALL topics!

In the Maths exam, your child isn’t tested topic by topic – in fact, most challenging questions involve the application of more than one topic.

Therefore, if your child is not trained in the critical heuristics tools systematically to tackle questions across ALL topics, it’ll be very difficult to gain full marks for those tricky questions in the exam!

And here’s the worst part – your child will probably waste a lot of time and effort in the exam trying to solve questions using ineffective methods that just aren’t suitable for more complex problem sums, causing him or her to lose motivation…fast!

#4   Your child’s tuition centre doesn’t design and follow a systematic curriculum for Problem-solving!

It isn’t uncommon for Maths tuition centres to just answer questions and clarify doubts from students, or at best provide worksheets and mock tests for students to attempt before going through the solutions.

These are passive approaches to teaching. They don’t work well, and do little to no good for your child to improve his or her Maths results, since there’ll be minimal progress compared to having a carefully thought out curriculum.

Every aspect of the curriculum should be intentional to achieve a specific outcome, and ongoing activities should complement that outcome in order to continue building your child’s Maths skillsets based on a solid foundation.

#5    Your child’s tuition centre adopts old-school teaching methods that aren’t as suitable for the new generation of students!

Being the most technology-savvy generation of students to date, they don’t respond well to old-school paper-and-pen teaching methods.

However, most tuition centres still rely on classroom delivery as their only teaching method to impart knowledge to students, which is probably not suitable to your child’s learning style.

Your child’s learning journey will be much more enjoyable and effective if exposed to a wide variety of delivery methods, especially by leveraging on technology and innovation (something sorely lacking in almost all tuition centres).

Now that you recognise the 5 key reasons as mentioned above, please take necessary steps to ensure that your child’s Maths tuition is not wasting your money…and worse, dragging your child’s Maths results down with it!

In fact, upon observing these factors that have been prevalent among Maths tuition centres here in my 19 years as a Maths educator, I’ve meticulously designed “5-Day “Unit Transfer Method” online mini-course (FREE for P4, P5 & P6)!

By emphasising the right tools (i.e. “Unit Transfer Method” technique) being taught systematically using the right support system (i.e. 24/7 access to expert guidance online & other delivery modes), I’ve ensured that every single factor listed above is eliminated!

This means that your child now stands a much higher chance to excel in the Maths exam, just like thousands of students who have benefited from our “Unit Transfer Method” to jump at least 2-3 grades in Maths in the last 8 years!

So if you’d like your child to achieve the same (or even better) results with our “Unit Transfer Method”, simply click on the link [goo.gl/EqzLFZ] to join free!
